Pinks and Nudes on Distressed White Jeans

I got these distressed white jeans from American Eagle about 3 years ago, and they've been hiding out in my closet ever since. This is the first time I have worn them since I purchased them, and I have no idea why. I love a pair of white jeans, and I love the rugged feel to these - it just baffles me why I never touched them! Note to self - dont buy something you MAY possibly wear 3 years later. Does that ever happen to you? Did you ever purchases something and not wear it right away?

I have a thing with stripes and pleated skirts. I spotted this blazer a few years back at Forever 21, and its one of my favorite blazers! Its knit, which makes it super comfy. The skirt is from the Lauren Conrad for Kohl's line. I randomly venture into Kohl's sometimes, and I have to say, she has some really cute pieces! Do you have any LC pieces? Yellow, Pink, Mint, and a Statement Necklace

As soon as I saw this skirt at TJ Maxx last year I had to purchase it. Pink is my favorite color, so of course I couldnt say no to it! I love that I can also wear it in the winter with some black wedge booties and a black leather jacket.

This necklace is probably my favorite piece that I own...well ok, one of my favorites. During college I worked in the ADAM by Adam Lippes store in the Meat Packing district, and when that necklace came out on the floor I grabbed it! I think its so beautiful and the detailing is just amazing! Adam is actually coming back with a new line in the fall, and I cant wait! Check out more about Adam and his Fall 2013 collection here.

For a 60's Look and Feel

I had originally come up with a different outfit for this skirt, but my friend and I were playing dress up and we came up with this fun look. It's not something I would normally throw on, but its so fun to try  something new! I felt like the hair adds a perfect touch to this 60's inspired look! Have you tried any looks that made you step out of your comfort zone? Let me know! 

Sorry I have been a little m.i.a lately - there was a bit of an accident with my laptop (got some water spilled on it!), which makes me being on the computer a bit tough, but I'll try my best to post more outfit pictures this week!

Yellow and Magenta by the Brooklyn Bridge

I think this skirt is one of my favorite H&M purchases! A-I love the color and B-I love that its pleated and a midi! Since I love to color block, and mix and match colors, I thought it would be fun to add this yellow ADAM by Adam Lippes dress. The detailing is pretty enough that no jewelry is really necessary! I wore this outfit a few times, and changed up the arm candy and rings a bit (as seen in the second last pic!)

Pink House of Stripes

A few summers ago I was planning on buying the Sperry Top-Siders, but I didnt have a chance to get to the store. I had a trip coming up so I went to Marshall's to get some luggage when I spotted these babies! They were super cheap, and satisfied my craving for boat shoes. 

On a side note, this house in Brooklyn's Park Slope neighborhood sold in late 2012, and the new owners will paint over the pink paint. I find it such a shame - it was so different and also had such a great story behind it. The owner painted it pink in honor of his late wife, whose favorite color was pink. How sweet is that? Anyway, I'll miss driving by and seeing a pop of color on the street. Its a good thing I got to take a few pics before they sold it!

This has been one of my go to outfits this past month. Its simple, comfy, and classy without trying too hard. I have worn these pants out pretty much to their death! I love the color, and the fact that theyre skinny! (cargo pants dont look so good on me). Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
